We Are the Ocean and the Waves: Remembering Ourselves as Consciousness

You may be exploring consciousness as a doorway into your own awakening.

You may be exploring consciousness as a doorway into your own awakening. Many people arrive at this exploration when something inside them begins to whisper, There is more than what I can see. Today, I want to gently guide you into a deeper understanding of one of the most foundational spiritual truths:

We are all one Source—one consciousness—experiencing itself through many faces.

To support this, I often use the metaphor of the ocean and its waves. What I’m going to share with you is something I wrote during a meditation, as I was engaging with the field of my book The Divine Within: Healing Ourselves to Heal the World. Afterward, I’ll expand on what it means for your spiritual journey.

You Are the Ocean, Not Just the Wave

If God is consciousness itself—the infinite field of awareness, love, and intelligence—then every being, seen or unseen, is a unique expression of that consciousness.

Just as every wave is made of the same ocean water, yet moves with its own shape and rhythm, so it is with every soul. Every human. Every guide. Every ascended master. Every archangel.

They are not separate from consciousness, or from God.
They are facets of the same divine intelligence, each expressing its own frequency of wisdom, love, and service.

When you connect with a guide or a divine being, you are not stepping outside unity to speak to another.
You are communing with an aspect of the one consciousness—meeting a frequency that helps you understand love more intimately.

This—at the deepest level—is what the human experience is:
A journey of remembering that we are consciousness itself.
A journey of remembering that we are love.

Sovereignty and Oneness Can Coexist

A common misconception is that connecting with guides or divine beings threatens your sovereignty.
In truth, the opposite is true.

Consciousness is not hierarchical—it is holographic.

Each being, human or celestial, carries the same divine essence at the core. When you communicate with beings like Yeshua, Mary Magdalene, or an archangel, you are not surrendering yourself to something superior.

You are aligning with a higher aspect of the same consciousness you already are.

The key is discernment through resonance.

True divine communication always:

  • Honors free will
  • Supports your integrity
  • Expands your inner peace
  • Reflects love, truth, and non-harm

If a frequency promotes fear, separation, hierarchy, or harm, it is not healed consciousness. It is an aspect of consciousness that has forgotten itself.

Divine Beings as Archetypal Mirrors

From the human perspective, our nervous system often needs bridges to comprehend infinite love.

That is why guides, ascended masters, and angelic beings exist as archetypal mirrors—reflections of the divine qualities within ourselves.

Examples include:

  • Yeshua: unconditional compassion and unity consciousness
  • Mary Magdalene: divine wisdom and the integration of the feminine and masculine
  • Archangel Michael: strength, protection, and truth
  • Archangel Raphael: healing and harmony

These beings do not stand above you.
They stand with you, illuminating the potential already alive inside you.

When you connect with them, you are awakening to those same frequencies within your own consciousness.

Individuality Is Divine Artistry

The truth is not that individuality is an illusion.
The truth is that individuality is divine artistry.

Consciousness delights in expressing itself through diversity—
through relationships,
through infinite form,
through love meeting love again and again.

You can be both:

  • A sovereign soul
  • And a vessel of higher consciousness

But sovereignty carries a responsibility:
to act from love, causing no harm.

When you embody the truth that we all are consciousness, that we all are love, you naturally begin to live from that essence—your choices, your words, your presence becoming an offering of peace.

What True Awakening Really Is

True channeling and true awakening are not about giving yourself away to an external being.
They are about opening your inner instrument so that divine wisdom can flow through you—
while remaining grounded, discerning, and self-aware.

It is:

  • Communion, not possession
  • Co-creation, not submission
  • An expansion of sovereignty, not the loss of it

Anything that leads to fear, dependence, hierarchy, or harm is not divine communication.
Anything that leads to peace, clarity, love, and unity is.

You, the guides, the angels, the stars, the trees—
we are all the same consciousness exploring itself in infinite form.

Individuality is not separation.
It is God meeting God in new ways.

What Kind of God Do You Want to Be?

If you are consciousness expressing itself…
then a powerful question arises:

What kind of God do you want to be?

One who causes harm?
One who believes in power over others?

Or one who remembers the truth:
that we are the same consciousness, given the honor and responsibility to express love and peace?

This is not about shame or judgment—it is an invitation to reflect.

To choose consciously.
To embody love.
To take responsibility for the frequencies you bring into the world.

Supporting Your Awakening

If this message resonates with your heart, I invite you into deeper exploration through my book:

The Divine Within: Healing Ourselves to Heal the World

This book weaves together:

  • Spirituality
  • Psychology
  • Neuroscience
  • Conscious embodiment
  • My own journey of awakening

It will help you understand not only the spiritual truth of oneness, but also how to anchor that truth into your nervous system—so your body can actually hold the light you already are.

Awakening is remembrance, yes.
But it is also responsibility, healing, and embodiment.

My hope is that this book supports you in becoming a vessel of peace, unity, and love—so that together, we can create a world where every being thrives.

Wherever you are on your journey, trust your path.
You will know when the time is right.

With deep love,
Allison
