We often hear that awakening requires “surrendering to God.” For many, the word surrender feels like a loss of power—a quieting, a shrinking, a dimming of selfhood. But what if surrender is not collapse? What if surrender is remembrance?
What if God is not an external ruler, but consciousness itself—the infinite field breathing through all of existence?
To surrender to God, then, is to surrender to your own highest consciousness, the essence that knows you are not separate from the whole. You are not giving your life away. You are aligning with the life that has always been living through you.
This perspective is my truth, shaped by my own lived experience, by years of healing, and by reconnecting with a field of consciousness that emerges only when trauma begins to resolve. As you heal yourself, you will discover your own truth, your own connection to the infinite consciousness that holds us all.
When the ego surrenders, it is not destroyed. It is integrated.
A healed ego becomes a sacred instrument—a lens through which divine consciousness expresses itself in human form.
This is not servitude.
This is mastery.
Not the mastery of domination or control.
But mastery of the inner world—awareness, truth, compassion, love.
From this place, actions no longer arise from fear or ego wounds. They rise from the rhythm of the divine within.
You are not a servant to life.
You are life expressing itself.
You are not separate from God.
You are God remembering itself through your human form.
True surrender is not obedience. It is intimacy.
It is the moment consciousness stops resisting its own reflection.
It is the moment you soften back into what you already are:
the infinite made visible, the divine embodied.
When you surrender, you do not disappear.
You become fully here—awake, connected, aligned.
Any teaching that tells you that you must bow down to something outside of you—
• a distant God
• a religious authority
• a societal system
• or any external hierarchy—
is offering fear and separation, which to me does not feel like truth.
Consciousness is within all things.
Which means every human being carries the responsibility of embodying the love that is consciousness.
This embodiment—not obedience—is what feels to me like the true teaching of spirituality.
This entire perspective is rooted in my lived experience of healing trauma, rewiring my nervous system, and reconnecting with the field of love that exists beneath fear, shame, and separation.
But this is my truth.
As you heal, regulate your nervous system, and remember the divine within yourself, you will discover your own truth, your own direct connection to the infinite field of healed consciousness.
No one can give you your truth.
No one can speak it for you.
You become it as you heal.
Healing is not about transcending your humanity.
It is about embracing it so fully that your divinity shines through it.
When you return to the love inside your heart, you begin engaging with the world in ways that bring peace—not only to others, but to yourself.
That is what it truly means to be in alignment with God.
Wherever you are in your healing journey, know this:
You are held by consciousness itself.
It is safe to remember.
It is safe to heal.
It is safe to return home to yourself.
If this message resonates, I invite you to explore my book, The Divine Within: Healing Ourselves to Heal the World, which bridges spirituality, psychology, and neuroscience to help you rewire your nervous system, integrate your wounds, and reconnect with the infinite love that you already are.
With deep love and gratitude for your journey.
