Have you ever felt lost, confused, or disconnected from your purpose? Like life has become too much, too painful—and you wonder what the point of it all is?

If you’re nodding your head or feeling this in your heart, I want you to know: I’ve been there too.

There was a moment in my life where I truly believed I had nothing left to give. The pain felt so heavy, and the voices of doubt and unworthiness were loud. I thought maybe the only way to end the pain was to leave this world entirely. I’d been drinking that night and wasn’t thinking clearly, and in that fog of despair, I made a decision to give up.

But something miraculous happened.

I had a dream that night—one that changed my life.

In the dream, I stood before God. And I was told, with the deepest compassion and love, that I could come home if I wanted to. That I was loved unconditionally. That I wasn’t a failure or broken.

But I was also reminded: I had a mission. If I chose to return to Earth, I would be supported and guided every step of the way.

I woke up with a kind of clarity I had never felt before.

It was the first time I truly felt what I now call my inner compass—that quiet, steady, compassionate voice within that is connected to something greater than ourselves. For me, that’s Spirit. It’s not something I can prove exists, but it’s something I know to be true in my bones.

That moment of connection didn’t magically fix everything, but it changed the direction of my life. I made a promise to myself: I would heal. I would find meaning in the pain, and I would discover what it meant to live with presence and purpose.

That’s when I began walking the path that would become blossoming heart wellness.

So, What Is the Inner Compass?

Your inner compass is your divine nature. It’s the part of you that can never be harmed—whole, complete, and wise.

When you're connected to it, your body feels calm. You feel capable of meeting life’s challenges. You have clarity, creativity, confidence. You know, deep down, that even if things aren’t easy, everything will be okay if you just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

But often, our humanness—our pain, our past experiences, our wounds—can block our connection to it.

Just like mine did.

Those blocks show up as anxiety, anger, sadness, judgment, blame, or anything that disrupts your ability to be compassionate with yourself or others.

Those aren’t signs that you’re broken. They’re signals that a part of you needs healing.

My Journey to Healing

After that night, I committed to healing my whole self.

I studied psychology, became a licensed therapist, and dove deep into mindfulness, yoga, shamanism, and Reiki.

I began to understand how our nervous system, our thoughts, and our inner world shape our experience of life.

And I realized: this is what I’m meant to do.

To help you remember your own inner compass. To guide you to that place of calm, clarity, and connection within.

That’s what led me to write my upcoming book, The Divine Within: Healing Ourselves to Heal the World, which will be published later this year.

It’s what led me to shift from traditional counseling into wellness coaching—so I can walk beside you on your healing journey, not as someone who fixes you, but as someone who believes you already hold the wisdom you need.

You Are Deeply Loved

You were drawn to this for a reason. There’s something in you—some inner knowing—that knows healing is possible. That you're not alone. That there's more to life than surviving.

In my next post, I’ll guide you through how to regulate your nervous system so you can feel what a calm, grounded body actually feels like—and begin to recognize when you’re aligned with your inner compass.

Until then, I invite you to sign up for my newsletter. You’ll receive updates on my book, healing resources, and new blog posts and practices designed to support your spiritual growth.

You deserve to heal. You deserve to feel connected, whole, and alive.

With deep love and gratitude,

Allison
