Healing the Archetype of Separation: The Cost of Division and the Courage to Choose Love

An exploration of how we heal from separation
Share This Post

Across the world, we are witnessing a rise in fear, anger, blame, and division. Voices grow louder—voices insisting that some people belong while others do not, voices drawing borders around who deserves compassion and who is deemed an enemy. Many believe they are protecting something sacred. But in truth, when we sow fear or hatred, we are not defending the light—we are extinguishing it within ourselves.

Because every act of separation is an act of self-harm.

The same life that breathes through the people we condemn is the life breathing through us. When we deny another’s humanity, our own soul contracts. When we spread division, we fragment the wholeness we were born to remember.

The Archetype of Separation: A Universal Shadow

Many traditions have names for this shadow—some call it “the devil.”
Not a horned creature in the sky or the underworld, but an archetype that represents the illusion of separation.

It is the energy of fear pretending to be power.

It is the voice that encourages us to blame, attack, dehumanize, or punish.
And when we embody this archetype—through our policies, our words, our silence, or our actions—we feed the illusion that anyone can win when another person suffers.

But no one wins in separation.
It poisons the well we all drink from.

The Good News: Every Moment Offers a New Choice

Every single moment is an invitation to choose love instead of fear, unity instead of division.

We can speak peace instead of propaganda.
We can protect instead of punish.
We can remember that justice and compassion are not opposites—they are two wings of the same bird.

Choosing love is not weakness.
It is courage.

Courage to act as if all life is sacred.

Because it is.

Healing Division Begins Within

When we lead with fear, the first step is to pause and look inward.

The division we create outside is a reflection of the wound asking to be healed within.
The only real power is love embodied in action. Everything else collapses under its own weight.

When we choose unity, we stop serving the archetype of fear.
We stop embodying the archetype of the devil.
We begin serving the consciousness of love—
the consciousness of God.

And in that remembrance, the world begins to heal, starting with us.

A Path Back to Wholeness

My book, The Divine Within: Healing Ourselves to Heal the World, was born from my own journey of confronting the separation within myself. It guides you inward—toward a deeper understanding of where you have separated from love, from truth, and from your own humanity.

It invites you to question your beliefs…
to watch your behaviors…
to notice where fear lives in your body, your choices, and your relationships.

Healing the world begins with the courage to heal ourselves.

And that responsibility belongs to each and every one of us.

If you feel called to begin that work, I invite you to take the first step.
